About Caring Hearts Pet Therapy...

Our ‘’Caring Hearts” Pet Therapy program is an all volunteer (150+ volunteer/pet teams), non-profit charitable organization with current IRS issued 501(c)(3) status founded on February 1, 2015. It involves the positive interaction of our registered and insured therapy pets with adults and children with guidance from our experienced volunteer pet handlers.

Our name truly reflects what our visits are all about:
- the "caring hearts" of our dedicated volunteers who share their wonderful pets in our local communities.
- the "caring hearts" of our pets who offer unconditional love to all who meet them.
- the "caring hearts" of the adults & children we visit who embrace our pets with their love and affection.

Our program provides wonderful volunteer/pet teams who visit over 75 locations in South Central Pennsylvania including Dauphin, Eastern Cumberland, Eastern Perry, Lebanon, Northern York and Northwestern Lancaster counties.

We visit local area facilities and organizations including military and veteran related; hospitals, rehabilitation centers and medical centers; libraries, schools, youth intervention organizations and youth programs including summer camps; nursing homes and retirement communities; court related and other special programs. Please note, we do not visit private residences.

We charge no fee for our volunteer services. Our volunteer/pet therapy teams volunteer over 9,000 hours each year providing pet therapy services to our local communities!

To see photos of all our therapy pets, please go to our "Facebook" page and under photos/albums you can meet all our active pets, see who has retired and remember all our Caring Hearts therapy pets that have sadly passed and will never be forgotten.

PLEASE NOTE: our therapy pets are owned by our volunteers and are not service animals or emotional support animals. For more detailed information about service animals, emotional support animals and therapy animals and their differences, please see link below.
